Join us for evening soup and bread dish-to-share, fellowship, and worship on Ash Wednesday.

• 7:30 pm Maundy Thursday worship

The West Walworth: Zion United Methodist Church is located at: 3960 W Walworth Rd, Macedon, NY 14502. The church building is located about one half mile north of the intersection of the West Walworth Road and State Route 441. 

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, a 40 day season that culminates with Palm / Passion Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. Lent is a time of introspection, spiritual renewal, self discipline and personal sacrifice. On Ash Wednesday we are reminded of our mortality and are encouraged to make plans accordingly. 

Ashes from last year's burned Palm Sunday palm branches are used to make the sign of the cross on the forehead of everyone in attendance. This is a visible sign of faith to all who we meet for the rest of the day. 

Come at 6:00 pm with a soup or bread offering to share and enjoy the fellowship.
